You may have just noticed a subtle but important change to the Recon web-pages. In common with most modern websites we’ve removed what website designers call the ‘frames’.
Note: Due to the type of upgrade, if the Recon pages aren't displaying correctly you may need to close your browser completely, and/or clear your cache/temporary internet files to view the new Recon site correclty.
The Recon site has moved to a ‘frameless’ webpage design. Roughly translated, this means that the whole page scrolls up and down, rather than leaving the logo bar at the top of the screen.
We’ve made the move for a number of reasons, not least because it makes the likelihood of browser load errors and log-in errors much lower, and hopefully makes it a smoother experience for our end users – you!
In addition, this should mean that the development needed to launch future new features is reduced slightly – meaning we can bring you more new Recon features, more quickly!
As if to prove the point, hot on the heels of frameless we’ll be launching the first of the features to leverage the change – ‘Friends’ later this month.
