Site Updates: My Visitors, Cruises, Friends and Favourites, and Top 100s.

We have released a few updates to the site today:

Friends and Favourites

We've now merged the Friends and Favourites lists into one list called Favourites. Members that you have added as a Friend will be marked with a red star. You can see a list of your Friends and Favourites who are online or view them all in an A-Z list.

My Visitors

On your left hand menu you'll see a new option called "My Visitors". This new feature allows you to see all the members who have visited your profile in the last 30 days, in addition to the Last 50 list in the Message Centre. This way, if you lose track of someone, you'll have a better chance of finding them again. You'll also be able to see who has cruised you and who you've cruised in the last 30 days in this section.

Profile Visits, Cruises and Top 100 lists

We've made some changes to how the Top 100 Profile Visits and Top 100 Most Cruised lists are generated. Instead of resetting on the first day of the month, these lists now use a count of visits or cruises received in the previous 30 days. For consistency, this same rolling 30 day period is used for recording visits to your profile, cruises you receive and the cruises you give to others. As these counts and lists are now based on a rolling 30 day period (calculated to within a few minutes), the numbers are likely go up and down a bit as new visits and cruises are added and those older than 30 days are removed from the calculation.

Please note that today, 11th May 2011 (Day 1), your profile cruises and views are only showing the last 50 people who have viewed or cruised your profile. As we go forward (tomorrow will be Day 2, etc) and we build up to a full 30 day history, we believe the benefits of this change to a rolling 30 day system will become more obvious.

We absolutely understand that changing a core feature on the site can cause confusion and inconvenience, and we sincerely apologise for that, but we are confident that once they get into full swing, you'll be able to see the benefits and agree it was worth it.
